Obituary For Rosa Lee Johnson-Bell

Sister Rosa Lee Johnson Bell of Bunkie, Louisiana was born August 12, 1930 to the late Joe Johnson and Ida Richards. She departed this life peacefully surrounded by her family on April 30, 2019 at the age of 88.

“Mama Rose” as she was affectionately known was baptized at an early age and worked as a housekeeper for many years before retiring to her passion of being a loving wife, mother, and homemaker.

She was a member of First Union Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Frank Freel. She loved First Union Baptist Church and worked faithfully in many ministries there until her health failed her.

She is preceded in death by her parents Joe and Ida Johnson; her husband: Wilbert Bell; her son: Louis Pouge Johnson; her brothers: Edward Johnson Sr and Frank Johnson; and her daughter: Dorothy Arnold.

Sis. Bell leaves to cherish her memories, her loving and devoted son Craig and his wife Desiree Bell; granddaughters: Keli F. White (Charles), Marquita McGlory, Dorinda McGraw; grandsons: Patrick McGraw, Brandon Anderson, Timothy Johnson, Louis Johnson, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Pauline McGraw and son-in-law, Adrian A. Arnold; Special friends: Ushers of the First Union Baptist Church and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
